High frequency inductor proximity loss calculation with 3D finite element analysis considering non-sinusoidal current distortion

چکیده

This paper describes a 3D finite element (FE) based method to calculate the proximity losses for magnetic components in power conversion system. The loss is main concern of copper which causes ac winding. FE model built on definitions geometries, meshes, materials, electric circuits, boundary conditions, load as well characteristics wire. total sum each calculated with density function using obtained nodal flux densities via analysis (FEA) at given condition. Owing detailed all geometric parameters and thus leakage end-winding effects can be considered, this FEA approach predict more accurately. In addition, non-sinusoidal current analyzed actual distortion Experimental tests have been implemented validate method. capable calculating energy consumption converter efficiency approvement management.
